Our Story
Clep is a tribute to Egypt’s past, present, and future—a dialogue between heritage and modernity, woven into fabric.
The name, derived from clepsydra, an ancient water clock that measured time, reflects our belief in the fluidity of design. The clepsydra, much like the hourglass, is a symbol of movement—of time shifting, never fixed.
The symmetry of the hourglass speaks to duality: two opposing yet connected sides, mirroring how fashion is not about absolutes but about choice. You don’t have to choose one over the other—you are both, and everything in between.
Fashion has often treated history as a relic, something to be admired but left untouched. At Clep, we believe in we reinterpreting our past. Our designs take inspiration from Egypt throughout the ages, from the elegance of the Pharaonic era, the artistry of the Ottoman period, and the vibrancy of modern-day Cairo and Alexandria. Each collection is a study in contrasts—minimal yet intricate, contemporary yet steeped in history, structured yet fluid.
This is not fashion for nostalgia. This is fashion for those who recognize that history is alive, ever-evolving, and deeply personal.
